Various motivations behind fake accounts include catfishing for false relationships or bullying, grooming for exploiting vulnerable children, scamming for financial gain, sock puppeteering for manipulating opinions, and secret or pseudonym accounts for privacy.
Catfishing and grooming, especially targeting teens, can have severe consequences on mental wellbeing.

The Safety Patrol at GTES has established a fundraising effort for the 2024-2025 school year to benefit The Marine Mammal Stranding Center. This fundraiser is inspired by the 3rd and 4th grade ELA Curriculums- "The Sea" and "A Great Heart!" We applaud the efforts of our 5th Grade Safety Patrol and their advisors- Mrs. Greene and Mrs. Walto. Well done by all! Please support them if you can!
