WHAT IS SEPAG?
A “Special Education Advisory Group (SEPAG) is a state-mandated, district-level, parent-driven group charged with providing input to the local school district on system-level challenges in special education and related services.” ~SPAN
WHO SHOULD JOIN?
Any Gloucester Township parent/guardian that has a child with an IEP or 504, is enrolled in the Gloucester Township school district, or home school district is in Gloucester Township but currently attends an out-of-district school. Parents are the core members of Gloucester Township SEPAG. Members may also include Child Study Team members and teachers.
MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
Parents gain understanding of the Special Education process and district programs.
SEPAG provides tools and information for parents to be effective advocates for their children.
Building liaisons are parent volunteers who connect our school community, PTO boards, and SEPAG. They are available to all at the school to help answer questions about Special Education and provide insight on resources and support in the school community.
