GTPS Health and Physical Education

The district believes that student's physical and mental health is of primary importance for a happy and healthy childhood - and for development of lifelong healthy habits. Health and physical activity are also important prerequisites to learning in all subject areas.

Our comprehensive curriculum includes fitness, motor skills, team sports, group games, social emotional learning, mindfulness, movement, character education, goal setting, health careers, nutrition, healthy relationships, accident prevention, summer safety, and preventing risky decisions.

The physical, social, and emotional well being of each child in our schools is of the highest importance to the staff, and we are committed to excellence in health and physical education in order to serve our community.
