Curriculum Supervisor

We are very excited to start another exciting year here at Gloucester Township Public Schools.  It is my pleasure to serve our thousands of amazing students, teachers, and families!  Ever since I was a child in elementary school, I have been intrigued by the amazing geography and history of the world and all areas of science. I consider myself extremely lucky to share that passion with our staff and students through our IMPACT! and EXCEL courses.  We are proud to offer comprehensive and rigorous programs in elementary and middle school.

I love school!  As a lifelong learner, I  have pursued studies and earned various degrees and certificates in History and Education.  I am a graduate of Rowan University, with a BA in History, specializing in International Studies and Africa/African Diaspora Studies.  My favorite areas of research include Ancient Egypt, Archaeology, and Geography.

Later at Rowan, I pursued graduate work and earned an MST degree in Secondary Education, as well as two Certificates of Advanced Graduate Study in the School Supervisor and Principal Preparation programs. I have also earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership at Walden University and a post-doctorate certification as a School Superintendent at Caldwell University.

I previously spent 13 years as an English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Gifted and Talented teacher at West Deptford Middle School. A highlight of my time there included establishing a National History Day Program, where my students won numerous awards including the top prize for the study of New Jersey History. Additionally, I served as a Ben Franklin Liberty Fellow with the American Institute for History Education where I completed an in-depth study of the major colonial and Civil War era history of the United States and collaborated with professors, historical sites, policymakers, and educators to build the capacity for teaching American history in our schools.

When not working, I enjoy reading, tennis, golf, basketball and fishing.

I look forward to supporting the students and staff of Gloucester Township.  It is going to be an amazing school year! Parents and Staff should review the handbooks below to familiarize yourself with the programs.
