Glendora at a Glance

The Glendora section of Gloucester Township is situated along the northern boundary of the municipality. In 1922, Glendora Elementary School, a small brick building consisting of four classrooms was completed. Serving the students of Glendora, the building expanded a few times throughout the years to accommodate its population. Glendora's location in the middle of the neighborhood provides a small-town feel with the school at its center.

The staff and families of Glendora Elementary School pride themselves on their collaboration. Utilizing vertical articulation, the staff share both strengths and weaknesses related to the academic and social development of all students. The teachers utilize the ability to identify building-wide areas of need and implement innovative strategies for improving the students' education experience. This empowerment of staff has paid dividends in fostering the successful culture of the school.

Through communication, teachers and parents work together closely to support one another in educating the whole child. Teachers and families utilize multiple means to correspond regarding student progress and work in unison towards each student's individual success. Our Parent Teacher Group(PTG) supports the students and staff through multiple in-school events and family activity nights. It is not uncommon to see families attending Glendora Elementary School for various student oriented functions throughout the year.

Our greatest strength is our ability to work as a team to meet the needs of our students and the community as a whole. The success of Glendora Elementary School emphasizes their belief in being the Little School with a Big Heart.
